Chiropractic and massage therapy are natural, safe, hands-on approaches to health care, not just for humans but for animals too.  Doctors of Chiropractic (DC’s) work together with Doctors of Veterinary Medicine (DVM’s) for the combined benefit of achieving optimal health for both small and large animals.  Chiropractor’s are largely concerned with the spine and related joints and their relationship to the nervous system, while massage addresses muscular tension and restrictions also influencing the nervous system.

The nervous system controls and coordinates all body functions including organ, tissue, and muscle function.  It is the foundation for a strong and balanced individual and animal.  Therefore, by addressing dysfunction (subluxations) in the spine and related joints, the chiropractor is able to influence how our organs, tissues, joints and muscles function, and thus our overall health.

Some of the common ailments we can help with include:

-pain from hip dysplasia

-gait problems

-neck and back pain

-post-operative care

-disc disease

-muscle weakness

-reluctance to jump up/down

-reluctance to ascend and descend stairs and more.

It is quite common that owners notice a difference in their pet within 3-4 visits.  Depending on the problem, some dogs may require more visits or it may be recommended that your dog receive maintenance care to maintain it's musculoskeletal health.

Dr. Silverman works on large animals too (just not in the office :) )
